How to Hack Traffic Racer

Traffic Racer by skgames has been past 100 million downloads on Google Play for years. Its save is scrambled, so there's no number in its files you could just type over. In memory the cash is a plain number, though, and CheatDroid's memory scanner finds it in two scans.

  1. Start Traffic Racer and open the garage, so your cash is on screen. Mine was 500, from the free daily gift.

  2. Switch to CheatDroid, tap Traffic Racer, then Memory. Type your cash, leave the type on Int and tap Scan. Mine came back with 823 matches.

  3. Go back to the game and change the cash once. I bought the 500 speed upgrade, which left 0.

  4. In CheatDroid, type the new amount and tap the button that carries it, = 0 here. One match was left.

  5. Tap Select all, then Set, type 999999 and tap Apply.

  6. Back in the game the counter still shows the old number. Buy something once: that's when the game saves the new balance, and it's still there after a restart.

What else I found

  • The game only writes the cash to its save when it changes it itself. Skip the purchase in step 6 and the old number comes back next start.
  • Scanning is free; setting a value needs CheatDroid Pro.
  • Tested on version 4.0.
