How to Hack States Builder: Trade Empire

New to this? Start with our general guide to hacking Android games.

States Builder: Trade Empire is SayGames’ hex-by-hex supply chain builder, past 10 million downloads on Google Play. Its coins aren’t in the playerprefs, where a Unity game usually keeps them. They are a row in a SQLite database on the shared storage, Android/data/games.resourcer.hex/files/UserData.db, written as JSON. I had 99 and made it 999,999.

After: 999.9K
  1. Open CheatDroid, allow root, and tap States Builder in the app list.

  2. Under Databases, open UserData.db; the line under it says Android/data/games.resourcer.hex/files. Typing UserData.db into the search brings it to the top. If CheatDroid says the game is running, tap Force stop.

  3. Open the UserData table and tap the json cell in the walletUserData row. CheatDroid shows the JSON as fields: value under wallet › 0 is the coins. Type 999999 and tap Save.

  4. That only changed CheatDroid’s copy. Tap the check mark at the top and Yes to write it into the game’s database.

The check mark writes it back
  5. Start the game again. The coins at the top read 999.9K.

What else I found

  • It sticks: the next hex for 8 left 999,991, restart included.
  • It runs offline.
  • Tested on version 1.13.0.
