How to Hack Sled Surfers

New to this? Start with our general guide to hacking Android games.

Sled Surfers is CrazyLabs' penguin slingshot game, past 10 million downloads on Google Play. The coins that pay for slingshot, sled and income upgrades sit in its Unity playerprefs file as _coins, a plain number. I had 28 after a couple of runs.

Before: 28 coins

After: 999,999 coins, shown as 1000K

  1. Open CheatDroid, allow root, and tap Sled Surfers in the app list.

  2. Under Shared preferences, open com.sled.surfers.game.v2.playerprefs.xml. If CheatDroid says the game is running, tap Force stop.

  3. Find _coins, change it to any number you like, and save.

  4. Start Sled Surfers again. The coin counter at the top left shows the new balance.

What else I found

  • Big balances are rounded on screen: 999,999 shows as 1000K.
  • It sticks: a 70-coin upgrade left 999,929, and a restart kept it.
  • The pink gems are _diamonds, right next to it.
  • Tested on version 1.13.2.
