How to Hack Marble Sort!

Marble Sort! - Color Puzzle is Voodoo’s marble sorting puzzle, past 10 million downloads on Google Play. Its coins sit in InventoryData.sav, a small JSON file in the game’s Android/data folder, under Items › Coin › Amount. The game also keeps a copy in its private SaveShadow folder, but it starts from the one in Android/data. I had the 500 every new player gets and set it to 999,999.

  1. Open CheatDroid, allow root, and tap Marble Sort! in the app list.

  2. Tap the search icon and type InventoryData. Two files come up; tap the one in Android/data.

  3. The file opens in the text editor, with JSON, 12 fields above it. If CheatDroid says the game is running, tap Force stop, then Edit as fields.

  4. Type Coin into the filter, change Amount to 999999 and tap Save.

  5. Start Marble Sort! again. The coin counter at the top right reads 999,999.

What else I found

  • It sticks: the next level paid on top, restart included.
  • Its leaderboard race is against bots.
  • Tested on version 1.22.02.
