How to Hack Count Masters

Count Masters by Freeplay is the crowd runner with more than 100 million downloads on Google Play. It's a Unity game, and its coins sit in the playerprefs file as SoftCurrency. My first level paid 114; after one edit I had 999,999.

  1. Open CheatDroid, allow root, and tap Count Master in the app list (that's the name it installs under).

  2. Under Shared preferences, open freeplay.crowdrun.com.v2.playerprefs.xml. If CheatDroid says the game is running, tap Force stop.

  3. Find SoftCurrency, change it to any number you like, and save.

  4. Start Count Masters again. The new balance is at the top right.

What else I found

  • It sticks: the next level’s coins went on top of the new balance.
  • The key only shows up once you have earned your first coins. On a fresh install, play one level first.
  • Tested on version 1.102.3.
