How to Hack AdVenture Capitalist

AdVenture Capitalist is Hyper Hippo's idle tycoon, past 10 million downloads on Google Play. Your cash is saved in its Unity playerprefs file, but not where you can read it: the save is JSON, compressed and base64'd, and each part of it is compressed again and signed with a SHA-256 checksum. CheatDroid opens those layers as plain fields and writes the checksum again when you save. I started with $12 and made it a million.

  1. Open CheatDroid, allow root, and tap AdVenture Capitalist in the app list.

  2. Under Shared preferences, open com.kongregate.mobile.adventurecapitalist.google.v2.playerprefs.xml. If CheatDroid says the game is running, tap Force stop.

  3. Search for save.balance.earth and tap it. Its serializedGameData row says base64 · zlib · JSON: tap it to open that layer.

  4. Type Inventory into Filter fields. Under Blocks › Inventory, tap SerializedData, the next layer down.

  5. Under currency.earth.primary your cash is ItemQuantityMantissa × 10 to the power of ItemQuantityExponent: $12 is 1.2 and 1. Set the exponent to 6 and the mantissa to 1, that's a million, and tap Save.

  6. Start AdVenture Capitalist again. The counter at the top shows 1 MILLION.

What else I found

  • CheatDroid updates the save’s checksum along with the money, so the game takes the edit.
  • It sticks: after two purchases and a restart the game opened at $999,220.
  • Needs CheatDroid 4.1 or newer.
  • Tested on version 9.28.0.
