CheatDroid 4.1.1 is out
4.1.1 came a day after 4.1, out of the first guides written with it. Most of it is the memory scanner, which those guides leaned on harder than I expected.
Memory
- Auto. One search for a number as Byte, Short, Int, Long, Float and Double together, for when you don’t know how the game keeps it. Each match says what it was found as, and Set and Freeze write it that way. Scripts get the same with
gg.TYPE_AUTO. - Unknown on big games. 4.1 kept every candidate as 16 bytes and stopped at 40 million, which Bridge Race reached in its first 160 MB. 4.1.1 keeps a snapshot of the memory instead: 576 million candidates in 672 MB, and one Changed later 211 were left.
- Faster. The compare loop is compiled for each type now. On Bridge Race an Int search went from 4 seconds to 1, a group search from 8 to 1.
- Changed by.
+25and−25keep what went up or down by that much, for when you know what you spent but not what’s left. - Pointers. Find pointers to this is a step on top of the results, so undo goes back to the value. The memory view follows an Int or Long holding an address inside the game, and its address field takes an offset (
7A1234F0+18). - The saved list. Save a match from its menu and it stays through New scan, with its live value, a freeze switch and a name you give it.
- Undo after Set, which also lifts a freeze the Set started.
- At least, at most. A freeze can hold a value from one side only: coins frozen at least at 999,999 still go up when you earn more, and a purchase that takes them below sends them straight back to 999,999. Scripts get it through
freezeType, as in GameGuardian. - Whole numbers can be typed in hex (
0x7A1234), and the memory view shows a row’s bytes as characters, which is how a name next to a value shows up.
Fixed, from the guides
- The filter in Edit as fields matches a path the way the headings write it (
valuableCounts › Soft, or with>), and no longer drops the field you’re typing in. - Set opens with the current value selected, so typing replaces it.
- The keyboard goes away after a scan, and a search started in the floating window keeps its type on the full screen.
- The floating window hides while CheatDroid itself is on screen.
Scripts
gg.searchPointer, copyMemory, getValuesRange, bytes and isPackageInstalled work now. Running GameGuardian scripts has the rest.
Updating
4.x shows the update in its menu within a day, or download 4.1.1 and install it over the old one. Pro and your settings stay.
