CheatDroid 4.1 is out
4.1 is the release that came out of writing the game guides. Every time a game hid its coins somewhere CheatDroid couldn’t follow, I built what was missing and tried it on that game. GameGuardian’s users will recognise a few things.
Memory
- More types. Byte and Short next to Int, Long, Float and Double, and text: UTF-16 for Unity games, UTF-8 for the rest. A hex pattern finds bytes, with
??for any byte. - Range and group.
10~20finds everything in between, for a number the game rounds to 1.2K.100;3;250finds numbers kept within 512 bytes of each other, like a level, its stars and its coins. - Encrypted values. A switch searches numbers kept as a key next to the value XORed with it, which is what Anti-Cheat Toolkit’s ObscuredInt does. Set and Freeze keep the key and move the toolkit’s plain decoy copy along with the value.
- Memory view. Any match opens the memory around it, one value a row, live. The rest of a struct is usually a few rows away.
- Scripts. Lua with GameGuardian’s
ggfunctions: search, refine, getResults, editAll, setValues, the saved list, regions and the dialogs. Their menus open from the floating button over the game. No speedhack, no network and no files from a script, and the Lua is 5.2, so//and the bitwise operators don’t parse. - Time jump. Moves the phone’s clock forward for an idle game’s timers and offline earnings, restarts the game with it, and puts the clock back when you’re done.
Save files
- JSON as fields, wherever a value is edited: prefs, DataStore, SQLite cells, text files, and in the hex editor for JSON files that are compressed or UTF-16. Saving changes only the field you edited, and the raw editors are still a tab away.
- JSON inside JSON. A value that is base64, zlib or gzip of more JSON opens as its own level and is wrapped again on save. When the game keeps a SHA-256, SHA-1 or MD5 of the value next to it, that follows the edit.
- Unity PlayerPrefs decoded, names and values, and Anti-Cheat Toolkit’s ObscuredPrefs opened with its default key and sealed again on save.
- Easy Save 3 files show one field per value, and file names that are base64 show what they say.
- What changed. When the game rewrites a prefs file while it’s open, the entries it changed turn green with their old value underneath. That’s usually the coin counter.
- Search inside files in the file browser, and find in the text editor.
Pro
Same rule as before: looking is free, changing a running game is Pro. Searching memory and running a script that only reads are free. Setting, freezing, a script that writes, and time jump are part of Pro, $14.87 once.
Updating
4.0 shows the update in its menu within a day, or download 4.1 and install it over the old one. Pro and your settings stay.
