An app keeps crashing after I edited it. How do I fix it?

If an app crashes after you edited it, restore the backup you made – or reinstall the app to get it working again. Editing an app’s data can occasionally put it into a state it can’t handle, which is exactly why a backup matters.

Back up first, every time

No backup? Here’s how to recover

If the app is broken and you don’t have a backup, the reliable fix is to reinstall the app. This clears its data, so a hacked game would start over from scratch – not ideal, but it works. Alternatively, if you remember exactly what you changed, open the file in Cheat Droid and set the values back to what they were.
